“A lyrical, haunting account of loss of community and cultural identity...vividly reimagines the fabled towns and rich bottomland from which the North Dakota Indians were evicted by the damming of the Missouri River.”

-Ronnie Scheib, VARIETY

“Deeply personal and made with passion and tenderness, this gem reveals incredible, little known history, past and present, that, amazingly, both breaks your heart and raises your spirits...It’s a documentary every American should see. ”

-Danny Peary, FilmInk

A brief mention of Waterbuster (aka: In the Wake of the Flood, working title) participation in the 2004 Tribeca "All-Access"Program where new directors of color were selected to participate in one-on-one meetings with industry representatives. We met with P.O.V., American Experience, MTV, HBO among others and received invaluable advice and commentary on our project.

Paul VanDevelder has written the most comprehensive story on the construction of the Garrison Dam and the lasting legacy to family, community and the state of North Dakota. Coyote Warrior: One Man, Three Tribes and the Trial That Forged a Nation is a must read on the complex history of the dam and the legal wrangling that put 23 tribes' land, homes and communites underwater.
